Purchase Brass Trio – Make Music Yonkers
Please join us and the Friends of Crestwood Library as we celebrate Make Music Yonkers Day with a free outdoor concert at the Crestwood Library featuring a brass ensemble from the Purchase College Conservatory of Music.
Brandon Hornsby-Selvin, tenor
Tenor Brandon Hornsby-Selvin, a graduate of Purchase College’s Conservatory of Music, is becoming well known as a musician and educator performing various styles of music.

“Chamber Music” used to refer only to Western classical music composed for small groups, like string quartets. But today chamber music includes different forms, including jazz, classical and folk genres. In playing chamber music, students learn to play alongside one another and explore different styles of music.

Please join us at one of the Alegría Ensemble’s exciting concerts! Chloë Dickens (violin), Sara Juneau (cello) and Ricky Moreira (piano), formed a prize-winning trio at the Copland School of Music at Queens College where each recently finished their Master’s degree.

Jhoely Garay, Mexican Jazz Ensemble
Jhoely Garay, a recent Master’s degree graduate of Manhattan School of Music, is a guitarist, composer, arranger and educator from Mexico City whose music expresses her passion for swing, contemporary jazz and music and rhythms from Latin America.
