At Yonkers Public Library (Will Branch)

“Chamber Music” used to refer only to Western classical music composed for small groups, like string quartets. But today chamber music includes different forms, including jazz, classical and folk genres. In playing chamber music, students learn to play alongside one another and explore different styles of music.

In these concerts, Purchase College Conservatory of Music students will play music they’re studying in the Conservatory’s Chamber Music program.  In prior concerts, students have performed music by Bach, Beethoven, Ravel, Bartók and Debussy, along with jazz and even compositions by the students themselves.  Please join us in supporting our Young Musicians as they embark on professional careers.
